Russian producers of harvesters achieved another powerful success in Europe. Last week the 74th International Agricultural Exhibition finished its work. The Rostselmash company did not only gain the gold medal of the biggest European agricultural forum but also sold its equipment off a stand.

More than 2000 delegations from 60 countries took part in the 74th International Agricultural Exhibition. This year, about 600 thousand people visited the show. The biggest national producer of agricultural equipment — Rostselmash together with its dealer in Serbia and Montenegro — the company «Agrovoevodina mechanizaci’a» displayed Russian solutions in the agricultural machine building.

An advanced grain harvester DON-680M and a forage harvester VECTOR 410 were displayed at the exhibition. The last one aroused the greatest interest of the visitors. Sale of three harvesters VECTOR 410 and conclusion of a preliminary agreement on delivery of 10 other machines to Serbia served to confirm that fact.

It should be noted that VECTOR 410 is in increasingly great demand among European farmers. In the 2005/2006 agricultural year 37 units of the equipment were shipped as against 24 harvesters in the 2004/2005 agricultural year. According to results of the first six month of the current agricultural year 2006/2007, Rostselmash has already delivered 23 harvesters to European customers.

The gold medal of the exhibition received for the harvester VECTOR 410 proved a success of the Russian company. This machine was considered to be the best solution for European farmers as for the correlation between cost and quality.

It is noteworthy that the Serbian market of agricultural equipment has been oriented to new grain harvesters. When in the year 2004/2005 the country imported about 83% of aged equipment, last year Serbia lowered the number of imported utilized harvesters to 74 per cent of the total number.
