Buhler Industries — Russian prospects |
The new Board of directors is elected and the President of the company Buhler Industries is assigned. It was a first base towards creation of Russian-Canadian agricultural machine-building holding company.
On October, 31th, the company Rostselmach has completed the purchasing of 80% of shares of Canadian agricultural equipment producer Buhler Industries Inc. The transaction amount was 140 mln dollars. By estimations of directorship of the Industrial Corporation New Community, the costs for purchasing of new assets will be recompensed during 6—8 years.
The Board of directors included shareholders of Industrial Corporation New Community — Youry Riazanov, Dmitry Udras and Konstantin Babkin, the founder of Buhler Industries John Buhler and two independent directors — Oleg Gorbunov and Alan Stuart.
Dmitry Lubimov, former manager of the plant Elax (Ukrainien enterprise of concern Empils), was appointed as President of the company (managing director).
The leaders of Russian company explain there choice in favour of Buhler Industries by production possibilities of the Canadian tractor enterprise, allowing to produce machines of 140—535 hp.
The traditional market outlet of tractors Buhler is North America. In recent years about third of machines was on sale in territory of CIS. The new proprietor plans to equate supplies in CIS with a half of total quantity of tractors produced on the assembly line. In New Community the mutual interest in promotion of Rostselmach harvesters by means of Buhler Industries distributive centers on the markets of USA and Canada is not denieded.
At present the new proprietor of the Canadian enterprise carries out analytical research and finishes off development and coordination strategy of Russian-Canadian agricultural machine-building holding company. However, the Russian party already now declares, that it will retain efficient staff and widely known brand of the company Buhler, as well as good quality of Canadian enterprise production.
