The outfit of adapters for harvesting of all types of feed crops, the extension nozzle of spout and pickup contact springs to operate without losses in windiness, the following by the grass header and the pickup of the field relief in longitudinal
and cross-section directions, the availability of the rotary header for operation
on high-yielding and low-yielding corn, a powerful hydrostatic transmission, all wheel drive (option), headlamps and lighting to work at night.
The work on the field is entailed certain difficulties: the features of various forages harvesting, complicated soil relief and adverse weather conditions.
Thanks to three spacer rolls and middle divider guides, the rotary header operates regularly not only on high-yielding, but also on low-yielding fields.
All these factors reduce the efficiency
of high-productive machinery. «Don 680» has passed the adaptation to various conditions at stage of design tests, which were carried out in 5
agro-climatic zones, including the areas of risk farming.
The Swath pickup is equipped with pressings to operate without losses in windy weather and with the system of soil relief automatic following in longitudinal-transversal direction.
The completing units of «Don 680» include three types of adapters for harvesting of all types of vegetable forage:
- Rotary maize header with cutting table for maize silage harvesting.
- Cutting width is 4 m (6 rows).
- Drum-type
Swath pickup for silage and grass haylage harvesting.
- Cutting width is 2,2 m (single swath) and 3,0 m (double swath).
- Grass header for grain haylage and green feed harvesting.
- Cutting width is 4,95 m.
Grass header with a cutting table is standardly equipped with a mechanism of the cutting height adjustment on irregular surface fields and overload clutch, actuating at peak loads.
Each adapter design ensures the regular mass supply to a feed unit of «Don 680».
Not-row corn bedding, undersized or thick mated cornstalks, fragile and sheding swaths, irregular surface and flinty fields, strong wind — «Don 680» is able to operate in the hardest conditions.
Hydraulic gear of steering wheels provides the cross-country capacity on wet ground.
The corn harvesting in autumn, during the rain period requires a reliable undercarriage — such as «Don 680» has. The powerful hydrostatic gear of steering wheels and the optimal tires width successfully manage
off-the-road operation.
Spring-assisted upper rolls protect the system from jamming and breakages if operating at a high speed and on high-yielding fields.
At operating
on water-logged soil
the all-wheel-drive modification of «Don 680» is proposed (steering wheels are equipped with hydraulic motors).
