At last we have received a long-term credit and have bought a 21 million roubles worth of machines: three tractors «�-744» with the new grain seeders fabricated in Syzran, two «MTZ» for cultivated crops, also with seeders, and two harvesters of «Rostselmash» «Vector». I founded them two years ago, at an exhibition in Moscow. It’s as though advanced «Don-1200». The engine and the tank of this harvester are located more rationally, the cab is a feast for the eyes, take this 7-meters Header, for example, as to output, we will see it at harvesting. In general they are highly commented.

Looking at «Vector», one can conclude that Russia gradually catches up the leading foreign countries in agricultural machinery building. Probably the day when only such modern and efficient machines fabricated in Russia, will operate on the fields, is not far off.

Thanks to the specialists from Rostov, at creation of «Vector» they have thought about the main thing — about people, about harvester operators’ convenience and working conditions. «Vector» — is a machine of superior quality by comfort, cost efficiency and high specification, meeting specific requirements of our agriculture and it can be named the miracle, similar to a spacecraft.

For a long time the rural areas have been waiting for such machines. Our machine operators got tired with working on the junk. Last year we bought three machines «Vector» and now we are waiting for another two. There is a queue for these machines. We give them only by tender.

In comparison with old harvesters the difference is visible at once. It is enough to look at their design. And once you will sit down in the cab — you will feel all its qualities. Because it is more comfortable, and noise insulation became a long way better- no more than 10 decibel, I think.

It is convenient in operation, all is near at hand. The joystick, buttons etc. Generally, it’s excellent, especially as observability has redoubled. A very good harvester, pleasant to operate.

A considerable work has been done to improve the working conditions of operator, very important systems of process control are implemented.

We have not revealed faults in the process quality, and on reliability for the present there are no claims! 

In general, the harvester gives a ponderable claim for the technically good construction and sufficiently reliable in terms of machine manufacturing quality.

The increased fuel tank capacity allows to reduce the refueling time. All this positively influences the shift duration.

The accumulators’ location at the foot is correct, I think — they are easily accessible for a rapid maintenance. The possibility of the hydraulic system filling from the ground — it’s also one of the merits in maintenance.

The operating control devices and monitoring system apparatus are located very conveniently, on the right. The command is push-button — you don’t need to apply any efforts. 

This harvester is in many respects normalized similarly to the harvester «Don-1500». Therefore I think that for machine operators it will be more convenient to operate this harvester, and for farms too, in a sense of availability of spare parts.

The purpose of this harvester’s creation is evident — it is the maximal unification with series-produced models and fundamental modernization, oriented to improvement of machine operators working conditions.

The Rostselmash designers have selected the correct approach — to use at harvester designing the known and well studied solutions applicable on series-produced models.

At such important unification degree with series-produced models, I think, the consumers will not have problems with spare parts and with supplementary machine operators training for the new harvester control.

The harvester is reliable, the mean time to failure confirms the performance specification data. The harvester performance quality meets the agro-technical requirements.

This harvester by its technical specifications is at the level of the best foreign models.

I liked this harvester because of its simple maintenance — an easy access to all units. During night-time the lighting is very good, it’s bright as day. The test devices are located conveniently for a look. The engine is very good, powerful and saving.

It’s a pleasure to work on this machine. I liked it.
