Preliminary results of Vector harvester test at Altai Machinery Testing Station.
According to technical requirements, with a given grain loss of 1,5% at the threshing stage, the throughput capacity should be 7kg/sec. Vector harvester showed 7,15 kg/sec. The nominal Vector efficiency at the same loss rate constituted 17,2 tons/hour, which is almost 20% more than the value reached by the reference harvester. The difference in efficiency per hour between Vector and the other harvester reached about 40% (Vector: 14,26 tons/hour at fuel consumption rate of 2,16 kg per ton of threshed grain. Yenisey harvester: 10,62 tons/hour and 2,64 kg of fuel).
During 186 hours of harvesting operation Vector covered 580 hectares, and threshed 810 tons of grain.
Specialists comment
Viktor Semyonovich Borisov, Head of Rostselmash TC experimental shop: outstanding results, shown byVector have been reached due to the fact that since the first day of test period it, basically, didnt stop for repairs.
During the tests, Vector harvesting harvester showed a lower (lower than standard) noise level (79 instead of 80); the same was true for dust-proofness parameter (3,2 instead of 4,2 grams per cubic meter) in the operator cabin. The angle of the harvester transverse stability proved to be 10% better than standard (28 degrees instead of 25), which stands for the harvester stability while operating on a hilly relief, with a 6 meter reaper, full bunker and fuel tank.
